Abstract The non-renewable energy sources are depleting at higher manner because of greater demand. Alternative fuel is a replacement for diesel in compressed ignition engines its significant environmental benefits. use alternative leads to reduction Opacity, NO X , HC and CO emissions the increase consumption brake thermal efficiency on without any modification. addition nanoparticles increases decreases emission. In this research work, effect nano-fuel additives Nickel Oxide (NiO 2 ) performance emission characteristics n-Pentane single cylinder, four strokes, water cooled, compression injection engine studied. nano prepared by precipitation method. results obtained particle size below 200 nm, characterized using X-Ray Diffraction. dispersed with Ultrasonicator Magnetic stirrer. proved that, these will be preferred reducing particulate matter, carbon monoxide, unburned hydrocarbons Nitrogen oxides If added appropriate proportion, it combustion characteristics. This nano-additive used reduce improve during experiment.
